Started in times when Roman architecture was still in swing this 11th/12th century church in Maastricht is one of the oldest surviving buildings in The Netherlands. The interior is known for its special atmosphere and extreme darkness. A small chapel contains the famous “Sterre der Zee” grace statue of Mary.
