This museum displays twenty-five traditional houses from different parts of Japan, which were moved from their original locations and reconstructed here.
Most of the buildings date from the Edo period (between 1603 and 1868). Some are important cultural properties, and the earliest examples are from over three hundred years ago.

Four of the houses are captured for this project which includes an audio guide in 4 languages. Check out special features, like the bent wooden roof structures and the wood carving wall decorations. Also the Kabuki theater revolving stage can be seen from below.
